Join Managing Partner Robert J. Kurre, Certified Elder Law Attorney and Long Island’s Elder Law Attorney of the Year, on September 27, 2023 for a presentation on What Seniors Don’t Know Can Bankrupt Them: How to Protect the Assets of Aging and Incapacitated Persons.

Long term care can have devastating financial consequences as the average cost of a nursing home in downstate New York has risen to over $200,000 per year. Learn about the very important topic of long-term care planning, and financing it through Medicare, Medicaid, the Department of Veterans Affairs, long-term care insurance, reverse mortgages, and other methods.  A lack of planning in this area has financially devastated countless families who did not have a proper understanding of how long-term care may be financed in New York State and were unprepared to absorb its exorbitant costs. There are certain actions families can take so nursing home or other long-term care bills do not decimate life savings.

The presentation will be on September 27, 2023 from 6pm to 7pm at the Hillside Public Library at 155 Lakeville Road, New Hyde Park, New York 11040, in the All-Purpose Room, 2nd Floor.

The presentation is free to attend, but advance registration is required. Please register here.
