About Michelle A. Dantuono, Esq.

Serving Clients Throughout Long Island and New York City

Michelle A. Dantuono, Esq. is a partner with Kurre Schneps, LLP.  She has spent the majority of the last decade practicing exclusively in the areas of trusts and estates and elder law, handling litigation, estate planning and administration and elder law matters.  She is admitted to practice law in the state of New York and in the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York.

Michelle was selected as a 2021 New York Rising Star. Each year, no more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state under age forty are selected by the research team at Super Lawyers to receive this honor. Super Lawyers, a Thomson Reuters business, is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than seventy practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. Candidates for Super Lawyers are identified through peer nomination, evaluation and independent research.

Michelle is a member of the New York State Bar Association and the Nassau County Bar Association and active on the Elder Law, Social Services & Health Advocacy Committee and Surrogate’s Court, Estates and Trusts Committee.  After earning a bachelor’s degree magna cum laude in American Studies from Providence College, Michelle obtained her law degree cum laude from Hofstra University School of Law.

During law school, Michelle was an associate editor of the Hofstra Law Review and Dean’s Scholar. She was a child and family advocacy fellow and participated in the Child Advocacy Clinic.  While initially drawn to family law and the idea of helping families survive a crisis while maintaining functional relationships, Michelle realized that there was a need for such work in the areas of trusts and estates and elder law as well.  Michelle is passionate about helping families plan for the future and work through loss or a major life transition.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two young children and large extended family most of whom also live on Long Island.
